Role Description:
- Oversee daily workshop operations, scheduling and supervising prisoner work activities.
- Prepare reports, track expenditure, issue invoices and maintain workshop records.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and external clients.
- Supervise construction, maintenance and production tasks, ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Maintain stock levels, equipment and resource management.
- Conduct prisoner inductions, on-the-job training and accredited training.
- Supervise, mentor and manage staff and prisoners, ensuring safety, security and compliance.
- Maintain information systems, documentation and incident reporting.
- Ensure adherence to WHS, security and departmental procedures.
Essential Criteria:
- Cert III in a construction trade (e.g., Bricklaying, Carpentry, Joinery) or
Cert III in Building & Construction, Building Maintenance, or Appliance Service
- White Card
- Current Manual C-Class Licence
- Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or equivalent)
- National Police Clearance dated within the last 6 months
- Strong computer skills across spreadsheets, databases and document systems.
- Experience managing information confidentially.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
