Our State Government client is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor
on a temporary assignment
- Hourly Rate: Between $50 and $55 per hour plus super
- Start Date: 20 th of July
- Assignment Length: 6 months
- Location: East Perth\
All of our roles are temporary assignments and the hourly rates quoted include a 25% casual loading in lieu of leave entitlements.
In this role as a Quantity Surveyor, your tasks will include :
- Develop and implement a consistent approach to claims management for all forms of contracts, including progress claims and rise and fall claims.
- Establish and populate claim templates for projects / contracts.
- Develop and update templates for claims to reflect changes to contract clauses and other improvements identified by stakeholders, including progress claims and rise and fall claims.
- Provide specialist advice to managers on the assessment, negotiation and resolution of claims.
- Manage specialist consultancies for the provision of commercial intelligence for infrastructure projects.
- Establish, update and maintain databases and Power Apps relating to commercial intelligence.
- Manage records and documentation.
- Assist in claims resolution.
- Undertake internal estimates for concept designs.
- Engage with Project Teams in the MCA processes
- Assist in the development of Estimating Frameworks and Basis of Estimates
To be considered you will be required to have :
- Experience in contract administration and variation assessment for a broad range of infrastructure projects
- Data Management skills
- Skills & experience in managing financial, technological, physical and other resources within agreed allocations to meet agrees outcomes
- Skills and experience in commercial and claims management (Desirable)
- Negotiation and Facilitation skills (Desirable)
If successful you will need to provide a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months), undertake 2 reference checks and comply with any departmental onboarding requirements.
