Our State Government client is looking to hire a Communications Specialist on a temporary assignment

  • Hourly Rate: Candidates will be considered at Level 6 – $76.97 per hour plus super and Level 7 - $89.37 per hour plus super
  • Start Date:
  • Assignment Length: 4 weeks (possible extension)
  • Location: Perth CBD

In this role as a Communications Specialist, you will be tasked with:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate innovative corporate communications plans, strategies and projects which support the achievement of the department's goals and objectives.
  • Manage the department's corporate reputation with key industry and community stakeholders by ensuring that messages from all business areas are consistent with the agency's strategy.
  • Proactively identify and leverage opportunities to enhance the agency's reputation and communicate its key messages to stakeholders
  • Manage the development and delivery of the department's stakeholder communications products, including printed and electronic publications, and audio-visual resources.
  • Provide advice and support to the Director General, Corporate Executive team and other senior staff in planning for and responding to key communications matters.
  • Identify and advocate for effective stakeholder engagement strategies to enhance the outcomes of the department's projects.
  • Collaborate with staff and teams across divisions to support and provide advice for business activities such as marketing, events, sponsorships and grants processes.

If successful you will need to provide a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months) and undertake 2 reference checks.

To be considered you will be required to have :
 
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of corporate communications services including corporate brand and reputation management, and strategic communications plans.
  • Well-developed written skills with the ability to express ideas and information in writing.
  • Experience in providing advice and support to senior executives and project staff to enhance the effectiveness of strategic stakeholder communications.
  • Experience working in a government environment (desirable)
