Role Description:
- Attend to internal and external customer requests for stock items, including major and minor unit assemblies.
- Process stock requisitions and issue stock items over the counter or arrange transport and dispatch as required.
- Assist customers with parts interpretation and provide stock information as needed.
- Purchase held stock items as directed, following standard purchasing policies and procedures.
- Receive, unpack, check, and allocate purchased held stock items into the store; address discrepancies where necessary.
- Maintain inventory management systems, including adding/deleting stock items and processing issues and returns.
- Attend to internal and external requests for non-held goods and services, source competitive quotes, and prepare purchase orders.
- Participate in cyclic stocktakes and perform ad hoc stock checks as required.
- Arrange transport and dispatch of service exchange equipment and unserviceable major unit assemblies; follow up on returns and repairs.
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the store, assist with disposal of damaged or obsolete items, and operate specialised equipment, including forklifts where applicable.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills/Attributes:
- Interest in mechanical, IT, or radio fields. Hands-on experience is advantageous.
- Forklift qualification is favourable but not essential.
Essential Criteria:
- Current Class C driver’s licence.
- Experience in or knowledge of purchasing and stores functions.
- National Police Check (NPC) completed within the last 6 months.
