  • Rate: $56.25 - $65.00 p/h depending on experience
  • Location: South Perth
  • Commence ASAP for 2 months, possible extension
  • Fulltime hours onsite
  • Required: if successful, the candidate would need to complete a Drug & Alcohol screening AND have a current national police clearance

Candidate should have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Procurement and Contracting, Commerce or a related field) and/or relevant industry experience.
  • High level of time management and organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines, prioritise complex and demanding workloads and achieve objectives while undertaking a number of tasks concurrently.
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service, with demonstrated consultancy and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement as it relates to competitive tendering, expressions of interest, quotations and contract management.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
  • Support procurement governance and ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain probity, transparency, and accountability in procurement processes.
  • Assist with tender and quotation evaluations, reporting, and approvals.
  • Coordinate tender processes and maintain the Tender Register.
  • Monitor purchasing compliance, expenditure thresholds, and audit reporting.
  • Support strategic procurement planning and purchasing programs.
  • Provide procurement training, guidance, and purchase order support to staff.
  • Promote compliance with Work Health & Safety requirements.
Contracts Management
  • Assist with contract negotiations and contract documentation.
  • Monitor contract performance, variations, and compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Participate in contractor performance reviews and dispute resolution.
  • Maintain the Contract Register and keep stakeholders informed of contract status.
  • Provide risk mitigation advice and ensure appropriate insurance requirements are included in contracts.
Administration & Systems Support
  • Provide first-line procurement and purchasing support across the organisation.
  • Maintain procurement records, documentation, reports, and audit information.
  • Administer the Tender Register and Tenderlink portal.
  • Support implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the 1System Supply Chain module.
  • Identify process and system improvement opportunities to increase efficiency.
Customer Service & Training
  • Deliver customer-focused procurement advice and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide procurement, purchasing, and contract training to staff.
  • Manage enquiries and disputes in line with customer service standards.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
Business Unit Support
  • Provide responsive administrative support to business units and the Finance team.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, leave coverage, and operational support as required.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Team to develop and implement solutions.
