Role Description:
• Coordinate and manage planned preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain and update maintenance systems, databases and compliance records
• Liaise with hospital stakeholders to minimise downtime and service disruption
• Coordinate breakdowns, repairs and reactive maintenance activities
• Engage and manage external contractors, including requisitions, purchase orders and invoices
• Perform minor maintenance tasks across hospital plant and equipment as required
• Support daily engineering operations and provide guidance to trade staff
• Monitor and maintain operational and building systems, preparing reports as required
• Provide on-call afterhours support and relief coverage when required
• Ensure all work complies with safety, quality and governance standards within a healthcare environment
Essential Criteria
• Trade Certificate in a relevant engineering or building discipline
• Previous experience in an engineering or maintenance environment
• Experience using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to assess plant and equipment condition and respond appropriately
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current C or CA class Driver’s Licence
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation
• Current National Police Clearance
Desirable Criteria
• Experience with hospital plant, equipment and maintenance schedules
