Prosecution Support Team, which may take between 3-6 months for completion, to assist with the backlog of transcription requests, uploading of evidence, and covering upcoming leave for the broader team.
The role will involve reviewing digital evidence (video records of interview, body worn footage, prison phone calls etc), and ensuring transcripts are accurately formatted and aligned with all recorded speakers and details, correctly identified. This aspect reinforces the need for individuals who are both resilient and able to approach the work with care and professionalism, including attention to detail.
From a capability perspective, candidates will require:
- A developed understanding of Microsoft Office
, particularly intermediate to advanced Word skills
, including document formatting and attention to detail;
- The ability to ensure accuracy and consistency between audio/visual recordings and transcript outputs;
- Strong organisational skills and the capacity to work methodically within established processes.
While legal assistant, law clerk, or paralegal experience is not essential
, it would be highly desirable, particularly to support familiarity with legal terminology and document standards.
