We are seeking skilled professionals across Level 4, Level 5 and Level 6 to support high‑volume, high‑priority work relating to Freedom of Information (FOI), information release and litigation coordination.

These roles support transparency, accountability and the secure handling of sensitive information across a large and complex organisation.

Available Roles

  • Level 4 – Information Release Officers (x6)
  • Strong FOI skills required.

  • Level 5 – Senior Information Release Officers (x3)
  • Two roles require strong FOI capability; one role suited to candidates with broader legal/information release experience.

  • Level 6 – Team Leader Information Release & Litigation Management (x2)
  • FOI experience valued, with a strong focus on leadership, decision‑making and team management.

Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Location: Perth CBD
Rate: $63–$79 per hour + Super(dependent on level and experience)

What You’ll Be Doing (Depending on Level)

  • Processing and coordinating applications under the Freedom of Information Act 1992 .
  • Interpreting and applying legislation, policies and information‑sharing arrangements.
  • Assessing, analysing and preparing documents for release.
  • Managing responses to subpoenas, summonses, court orders and other compulsory information requests.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, external agencies, oversight bodies and the public.
  • Ensuring secure handling and storage of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Providing advice on FOI, information release and legislative requirements.
  • Leading and supporting team members (L6).
  • Coordinating litigation matters and maintaining case registers (L6).
  • Contributing to process improvement and best‑practice information governance.

  • L4: Solid FOI knowledge and document assessment skills.
  • L5: Advanced FOI capability, legislative interpretation and stakeholder engagement.
  • L6: Leadership capability, experience managing FOI/litigation functions and strong understanding of legal processes.

You will need:

  • National Police Clearance within 6 months old
  • PR/Citizenship
