  •  Rate: $56.04 p/h + Super
  • Location: East Perth
  • Commence ASAP for 6 months, possible extension
  • Australian Permanent Residents/Citizens highly preferred
  • Fulltime hours onsite
  • Required: National Police Clearance within last 3 months

Core duties and responsibilities
 
Budget Data Management
  • Assists in the management of the corporate budget and forecasting data.
  • Provides support in relation to improvements to budget and forecasting data.
  • Manages the loading of approved Budget data.
  • Assists in the preparation of reports and/or information for internal and external stakeholders.
 
General Administrative Support
  • Undertakes administrative functions related to the accountabilities of the Section.
  • Ensures effective administrative systems are established, maintained, reviewed and managed to improve efficiency and service.
  • Liaises with management and employees within the Section on administrative and other relevant matters and promotes good working relationships across the Section.
  • Coordinates, researches and prepares draft correspondence, briefings and reports on behalf of the Manager
  • Monitors compliance with relevant administrative policies and processes.
 
Procurement and Contract Administration
  • Creates system generated purchase orders for new contracts.
  • Assists in the development of low value, routine contracts using established templates.
  • Administers low risk contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant government and client's procurement policies and delegations.
 
Other
  • Carries out ad hoc research and investigations, prepares reports and undertakes administrative duties as required.
 
SELECTION CRITERIA
 
Core Competencies
  • Relevant experience, including:
  • data management for financial and management accounting purposes;
  • corporate budget development, budget evaluation and resource allocation experience.
 
Communication and Interpersonal
  • Sound interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of customers on a variety of financial matters.
  • Ability to work in a team and contribute to the achievement of team and individual goals.
 
Conceptual, Analytical and Problem Solving
  • Good analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with data to resolve or escalate issues.
 
Organisation
  • Good time management skills with ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
