About the Role:

You’ll be the first point of contact for consumers, families, carers and service providers—responding to enquiries, managing sensitive situations, and ensuring statutory notifications are processed accurately and on time.

You’ll coordinate information for Advocates, support tribunal and court attendance scheduling, and maintain high‑quality records in the Client Management System.

Make a real impact supporting people navigating mental health and justice systems.

This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, calm crisis‑management capability, and a passion for helping vulnerable individuals feel heard and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Frontline communication — Respond to calls, emails and in‑person enquiries with empathy, discretion and professionalism.
  • Crisis support — Assess urgency, manage distressed callers, and escalate matters appropriately.
  • Notification processing — Review statutory orders, enter data accurately, and ensure mandatory timeframes are met.
  • Advocate coordination — Allocate matters, organise tribunal and court attendance, and support field Advocate workloads.
  • Administrative support — Maintain records, manage shared inboxes, coordinate interpreters, and keep reception welcoming.

What You’ll Bring

  • Highly developed communication skills, especially with distressed or vulnerable individuals.
  • Strong administrative capability, including CRM use, accurate note‑taking and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.

  • Resilience, initiative and a commitment to ethical practice.

Desirable:

Experience in mental health, justice settings, crisis lines or Mental Health First Aid training.
