Our State Government client requires an experienced Records Management Officer for a short-term assignment to assist with a backlog of work and help re‑establish key records systems and processes.

This role suits someone confident stepping into an environment that needs structure, consistency, and hands-on expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-the-job training — Delivers training to staff in information management, Public Trustee systems, and Content Manager .
  • Records lifecycle management — Controls and maintains systems for file creation, closure, recording, storage, retrieval, and destruction in line with legislative requirements and Public Trustee policies.
  • Archival & cataloguing — Manages cataloguing and transportation of records and archival functions; investigates and analyses issues related to records tasks and workflows.
  • Retention & disposal — Contributes to the Public Trustee Retention and Disposal Schedule to ensure records are managed appropriately.
