SYSTEMS AND DATA
1. Undertakes a range of project activities to ensure accuracy of personnel and payroll details in the HRIS under the direction of Performance Reporting and data analyst.
2. Analyses reports, statistics and information relating to general personnel and payroll activities.
3. Assists in the administration and support of the ‘Extend’ reporting platform.
SUPERVISION AND TRAINING
4. Participates in the training, support and mentoring of personnel and payroll processing team members.
5. Interprets awards and provides advice to team members on current process and procedure in relation to personnel and payroll matters.
6. Maintains consistency in process and procedures within the personnel/payroll processing area.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
7. Ensures that departmental business requirements are met, and a quality customer service is provided at all times.
8. Responds to requests and provides advice to customers on conditions of service, entitlements, and other personnel matters in accordance with relevant awards and agreements.
9. Produces and provides personnel and payroll reports to customers as required.
GENERAL
10. As required processes, records, checks, calculates and prepares correspondence in relation to a range of personnel and payroll activities including new appointments, terminations, secondments, leave applications, transfers, promotions, allowances, employee increments, reclassifications, deductions, tax and overtime using the human resource information system, ensuring compliance with Awards and Agreements and other legislative and policy requirements.
11. Assists in the review, development and implementation of systems, procedures and processes and maintenance of a culture of best practice, innovation and continuous improvement in the personnel and payroll area.
12. Assists with human resource projects and initiatives as required.
13. Adheres to occupational health and safety and equal employment opportunity principles and practices.
14. Participates in fire management activities that contribute to bushfire suppression and prescribed burning operations commensurate with capability, capacity, training and level of experience.
15. Undertakes other duties as required.
