A busy Workforce & Establishment team is seeking two Job Design Officers to support upcoming classification, job design and data‑quality projects.

These roles suit detail‑focused HR professionals who enjoy structured processes, accurate documentation, and working within established frameworks.

We are recruiting at Level 3 and Level 4, with flexibility to consider higher‑level candidates who bring strong government classification experience.

  • Start ASAP for 10 - 12 weeks with possible extensions
  • Perth CBD
  • 57-63 hour + Super

Level 3 Job Design Officer
You will:

  • Review and assess simple job description updates and reporting‑line changes.
  • Progress to assessments for identical position creations.
  • Follow established processes with a strong focus on accuracy and documentation.
  • Support data‑quality projects including ANZSCO → OSCA code updates and Geolocation code checks.

Level 4 Senior Job Design Officer:
You will:

  • Assess job description updates and new position creations that may involve work value changes (BIPERS).
  • Provide advice on classification outcomes and job design principles.
  • Apply critical thinking to interpret legislation, frameworks, and work value indicators.
  • Lead or support data‑review projects (ANZSCO/OSCA, Geolocation coding).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
  • High‑level critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation, job design frameworks, and classification standards.
  • Experience in government classification or job design (highly desirable for L4).
  • HR, establishment, or data‑analysis experience also considered for project‑focused work.

Desirables:

  • Understanding of ANZSCO codes (moving to OSCA by Sept 2026) — training provided if needed.
  • Familiarity with Geolocation coding or data‑quality review work.
  • aPay (Ascender) experience beneficial.
