  • Rate: $56.50 p/h + Super
  • Location: South Perth
  • Fulltime onsite, Mon-Fri
  • Starting ASAP for 1 month, possible extension
  • Required: National Police Clearance AND Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Note: Drug and Alcohol Screening will need to be supplied 

This role is with a Local Government agency.
Objective 1: Administrative Support
  • Provide high-level admin support (emails, calls, enquiries, filing, documents).
  • Assist with document execution and register updates.
  • Support monthly credit card reconciliation (collect receipts/invoices).
  • Provide admin support to Coordinator Land and Property.

Objective 2: Governance Support
  • Act as relief for Governance Officer when required.
  • Support local government reform implementation and staff education.
  • Maintain and update registers, policies, and delegations.
  • Audit authorisations/delegations for legislative accuracy.
  • Update Governance SharePoint and templates.
  • Assist with FOI requests (document retrieval and redaction).
  • Manage Councillor calendar, bulletins, and requests.
  • Coordinate Councillor training and maintain records.
  • Support Functions and Hospitality Officer.

Objective 3: Property & Risk Support
  • Update Lease and Legal Registers.
  • Assist with lease/licence documentation and lodgements.
  • Support development of Risk Register (collation, formatting, liaison).
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Objective 4: Work Health & Safety
  • Follow WHS laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Work safely and prevent harm to self and others.
  • Participate in WHS programs, training, and inductions.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
  • Use PPE correctly and report hazards/incidents.

Objective 5: Corporate Responsibilities
  • Act ethically and follow policies and Code of Conduct.
  • Support organisational values, inclusion, and reconciliation initiatives.
  • Deliver strong customer service and follow the Charter.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping.
  • Commit to continuous improvement and efficient resource use.
  • Foster positive workplace and public relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
