Our State Government client
is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Investment Planning Analyst
to join their team on a temporary assignment.
- Hourly Rate: Suggest between $85 to $95 per hour plus super – Opportunity to also be submitted at rate of your choice
- Start Date: 24 th of August
- Assignment Length: 6 months
- Location: East Perth
All of our roles are temporary assignments and the hourly rates quoted include a 25% casual loading in lieu of leave entitlements.
In this role as Infrastructure Investment Planning Analyst you will lead project activities for road investment planning and transport portfolio investment processes.
Develops, maintains and quality-assures policies, processes and tools relating to budget submissions, portfolio investment coordination, prioritisation, project readiness and investment governance
Key Duties :
Project Activities
- Leads the development and coordination of road investment planning processes, including the 10 Year Unfunded Investment Program, Investment Readiness Funding program and priority project pipeline.
- Oversees budget submission and portfolio investment processes, including supporting systems, data collection, document review, stakeholder input and program records.
- Leads the application and maintenance of investment prioritisation methods, including quality assurance of portfolio inputs, scoring assumptions and priority recommendations.
- Reviews and quality-assures transport business cases, funding submissions, project proposal reports, annual infrastructure planning inputs and Strategic Asset Plan inputs.
- Coordinates the consolidated deliverables schedule and manages risks against fixed government deadlines.
- Provides technical direction to Infrastructure Investment Planning Officers and supports consistent investment planning practice across portfolios.
- Develops and improves workflows, templates and processes for Portfolio Investment Planning.
Corporate Communications and Reporting
- Prepares and reviews investment program advice, prioritisation outcomes and funding recommendations for consideration by the Manager.
- Reviews and consolidates portfolio information to support budget submissions, committee papers, executive briefings and internal reporting.
- Monitors progress against key deliverables and escalates portfolio risks, issues and decisions to the Manager.
- Ensures investment records, assumptions and recommendations are accurate, consistent and suitable for committee and audit scrutiny.
Stakeholder Relationships
- Leads day-to-day coordination with assigned portfolio teams and internal stakeholders on investment planning, prioritisation and funding submissions.
- Provides guidance to Infrastructure Investment Planning Officers on stakeholder engagement, investment inputs and issue resolution.
- Builds and maintains productive relationships with project owners, Network Management, Planning, PMO and other relevant branches.
- Supports the Manager in engagement with cross-agency stakeholders.
- Prepares and presents investment planning material where required.
- Participates in relevant committees, working groups and forums related to infrastructure investment planning.
Onboarding Requirements:
To be successful, you will be required to undergo two professional reference checks, provide a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months) and comply with any departmental onboarding processes.
