Our State Government client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Investment Planning Officer to join their team on a temporary assignment.

  • Hourly Rate: Between $55 and $60 per hour plus super
  • Start Date: 24 th of August                 
  • Assignment Length: 6 months
  • Location: East Perth

All of our roles are temporary assignments and the hourly rates quoted include a 25% casual loading in lieu of leave entitlements.

In this role as a Infrastructure Investment Planning Officer, you will coordinate project activities for assigned road investment planning and transport portfolio investment processes. Support the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, processes and tools relating to budget submissions, portfolio investment coordination, prioritisation, project readiness and investment governance.

Key Duties :

Project Activities
 
  • Coordinates investment planning activities for an assigned portfolio, including the 10 Year Unfunded Investment Program, Investment Readiness Funding program and priority project pipeline.
  • Coordinates portfolio input into budget submissions and portfolio investment processes, including project scope, cost, readiness, priority and supporting documentation.
  • Applies investment prioritisation tools and prepares priority recommendations for review by the Infrastructure Investment Planning Analyst.
  • Monitors Investment Readiness Funding projects, including progress, expenditure, risks and completion of pre-construction activities.
  • Supports the preparation of draft funding submissions, business case inputs, project proposal reports, annual infrastructure planning inputs and Strategic Asset Plan inputs.
  • Maintains project information in relevant systems, spreadsheets, and shared program folders.
  • Supports the development of workflows, templates and process improvements for Portfolio Investment Planning.
 
Corporate Communications and Reporting

  • Support in preparing project and portfolio information to support budget submissions, committee papers, executive briefings and internal reporting.
  • Tracks deliverables against internal and external deadlines and escalates risks to the Infrastructure Investment Planning Analyst.
  • Collates and reviews portfolio data to support investment decisions, funding submissions and reporting.
  • Maintains project records and supporting documentation to ensure information is accurate, consistent and suitable for review.
 
Stakeholder Relationships
 
  • Support central coordination for assigned teams.
  • Builds productive working relationships with project owners and internal stakeholders, including Network Management, Planning and other relevant branches.
  • Coordinates portfolio meetings and follows up actions relating to project readiness, funding submissions and investment priorities.
  • Participates in relevant committees, working groups and forums related to infrastructure investment planning.

Onboarding Requirements: To be successful, you will be required to undergo two professional reference checks, provide a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months), and comply with departmental onboarding processes.
