We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to work at a refinery in East Perth.
As an Operator All Rounder, you will be responsible for completing a range of tasks across different areas of the refinery, following standard work instructions. You will operate machinery, assist with quality control, undertake manual handling duties, and ensure a safe and clean working environment.
This vacancy offers 38 hours per week with the option of going permanent for the right candidates. Due to this, we are NOT accepting anyone on Student or temporary Visas at this stage.
Hours
Shifts are rotating, with morning and afternoon shifts available. Weekend work and overtime are also available when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate across different teams, areas, and locations as required.
- Use various machinery and equipment, including forklifts, hoists, and pallet trucks.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying items up to 22 kgs regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
- Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks efficiently.
- Record production data using both paper-based and computerized methods.
- Engage in packing, weighing, and quality inspection activities, including using precision measuring instruments.
- Carry out additional duties as needed.
- Comply with safety procedures and ensure your own safety and health, as well as the safety of your colleagues.
Successful Candidates Will:
- Be comfortable working in hot environments.
- Have the ability to handle heavy lifting and perform strenuous tasks on a regular basis.
- Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
- Be able to provide a national police clearance dated within the last 6 months.
- Be flexible and adaptable to different work areas and tasks.
- Have a positive and safety-conscious attitude.
This is an ongoing, casual contract role with the potential for future opportunities.
