available via Integrity Executive
for a Senior Geologist
based in
East Perth.
The pay rate is $68.31
an hour plus super.
All of our roles are temporary assignments through Integrity and the hourly rates quoted include casual loading in lieu of leave entitlements.
Role Overview
This position captures and maintains geoscientific and commodity industry data within the databases and provides analysis and geoscientific advice within their field of expertise on general matters, Mining Act matters, and for ministerial purposes.
The Senior Geologist also prepares specialty commodity data products.
Role Responsibilities
The following outlines the key responsibilities and duties related to this position:
- Under limited direction, tracks industry activity by compiling and editing the Mines and Mineral Deposits (MINEDEX) database and other corporate mineral-oriented databases.
- Generates specialty map products on mining industry activity and commodity distribution.
- Provides geoscientific advice within their field of expertise to internal and external customers, including writing of Ministerial briefing notes and for Mining Act assessments.
- Accountable to manager for meeting agreed quality, quantity and time targets and use of resources.
- Records workflow data and reports to manager as required.
- Assist with staff training and development by providing instruction to less experienced staff, including preparing instruction material.
- Represents the Department at conferences as required.
- Contributes professional expertise and experience to the formulation and implementation of improved products and processes.
Onboarding Requirements:
To be successful, you will be required to undergo two professional reference checks, provide a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months) and comply with departmental onboarding processes.
