The candidate will have previous Aurion experience, be a competent and confident payroll performer with excellent attention to detail for weekly pay runs, uploading new users and financial reconciliations (please see attached position description). Candidates with Local Government payroll experience would be looked on favourably as would those that are familiar with and have exposure to Aurion.
Key Duties
- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time (including new starters and terminations)
- Ensure compliance with industrial agreements, legislation, and internal policies
- Maintain and update HR/payroll systems and employee records
- Provide advice on pay, leave, superannuation, and salary packaging
- Handle payroll adjustments, reconciliations, and reporting
- Process payments to payroll creditors and meet ATO requirements
- Assist with workers’ compensation documentation and queries
- Support system maintenance, upgrades, and reporting tasks
- Promote workplace safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
Key Requirements
- Experience in payroll within a computerised system
- Ability to interpret industrial agreements and legislation
- Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll systems
- Understanding of superannuation and workers’ compensation
- National Police Clearance within last 12 months (or ability to obtain one)
