A State Government agency is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join their team on a temporary assignment.

  • Hourly Rate: Between $69.55 (Level 5.1) and $76.01 (Level 5.4) per hour plus super
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: 6 month (possible extension)
  • Location: Midland

All of our roles are temporary assignments and the hourly rates quoted include a 25% casual loading in lieu of leave entitlements.

The Procurement and Contracts team manages goods and services contracts. Most contracts are ICT or spatial related and this role will oversee a portfolio of contracts valued between $1,000 and $5 million.

  • Manages a portfolio of medium to high-risk contracts, overseeing governance, risk mitigation, performance and financial management
  • Develops contracts and procurement documentation, including contract management plans
  • Engages with internal stakeholders and vendors to provide pragmatic advice and practical support
  • Manages medium to high-value contractual arrangements
  • Monitors contract performance through service level agreements to optimise outcomes

Essential Experience

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and effective stakeholder management
  • At least 3 years experience managing a range of contracts.

Desirable Criteria
  • Awareness of WA Public Sector policies and practices specific to procurement and contract management
  • Experience in using and maintaining a contract management, procurement, or similar database

The role is based at the Midland office and offers flexible working arrangements. Staff may start work between 7:00 am and 10:00 am and once established in the role, can work from home for up to 50% of their working week.

Onboarding Requirements: To be successful, you will be required to undergo two professional reference checks, provide a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months), and comply with departmental onboarding processes.
