Human Resource Management Support
- Provides the first point of contact for all queries and visitors to the Human Resources team.
- Works collaboratively with the Manager Human Resources, Human Resources Team Leader and Human Resources Consultants to provide consultancy, advisory and support services to managers and employees on general HR matters, including:
- Interpretation and application of awards and agreements.
- HR policies and procedures.
- HR practices and compliance requirements.
- Coordinates and maintains the PathWest employee contract approval process, including:
- Analysing and reviewing submissions in line with authorised delegations and Public Sector Standards.
- Providing regular statistical information and reports.
- Assists with the online induction process, including resolving employee access issues.
- Maintains and updates the HR intranet page, ensuring information is current and accurate.
- Prepares position creation and reclassification documentation for submission to the PathWest Classification Review Committee.
- Monitors and reports on legislative compliance relating to Working with Children (WWC) requirements for employees.
- Provides advice and support to managers regarding Working with Children requirements.
- Extracts data and prepares management reports from the Human Resource Information System and HR Data Warehouse.
- Coordinates work experience placements.
- Maintains establishment and organisational structure records, including:
- Electronic filing.
- Maintenance of the central HR information repository.
- Collates, maintains and manages HR reporting and compliance requirements.
- Assists with the recruitment, onboarding and payroll rostering system (RoStar) for Registrars.
- Lodges Workers Compensation claims as directed by the Occupational Safety and Health Consultant.
Clerical Services
- Provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources team.
- Maintains requisitions and receives stationery supplies.
- Distributes mail and other correspondence within Human Resources.
- Provides reception services for Human Resources.
- Maintains and manages the generic Human Resources email account, including:
- Responding to internal and external emails.
- Triaging enquiries to the appropriate staff members.
Projects
- Provides project support to the Manager Human Resources, Human Resources Team Leader and HR team, particularly in relation to Executive and Board directives.
- Organises the development and production of HR documentation, including:
- Checklists.
- Forms.
- Briefing notes.
- Undertakes projects that support and facilitate the operational and strategic direction of Human Resources.
Other Responsibilities
- Performs duties in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Performs duties in accordance with relevant Work Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity legislation.
- Conducts duties in an ethical manner and promotes a positive image of PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA.
- Participates in Performance Planning and Review processes.
- Performs other duties as directed.
