Ministerial Services Officer - LEVEL 3
26 October until 30 April 2027 *potential extension / mat leave cover
$57 + Super hour
Role:
- Assist with the preparation, review and distribution of Ministerial and departmental correspondence, ensuring all documentation meets governance standards, policies, procedures and required timeframes.
- Liaise with departmental stakeholders and Ministers' offices, providing timely advice and support regarding ministerial responses and related matters.
- Coordinate follow-up actions across the Department to ensure deadlines are met and correspondence is progressed efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain statistical reports to support monitoring and reporting on Ministerial correspondence performance.
- Maintain accurate records, workflows and documentation using approved government systems and databases.
- Ensure all work is completed with a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative and support services within a fast-paced Ministerial Services or government environment.
- Ability to quickly understand new processes, adapt to changing priorities and use initiative to resolve issues independently.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and confident learning new systems and technology.
- Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

Ministerial Liaison Officer - LEVEL 4
26 October until 29 January 2027 *no extension
$63 + Super hour
Role:
- Coordinate the provision of effective and timely responses to requests for ministerial and parliamentary business responses.
- • Apply expertise and initiative to coordinate the development of briefing notes on divisional matters and for matters to support senior management and its role on external boards and committees.
- • Provide training and advice to other officers on requirements, standards and style of ministerial correspondence, parliamentary responses and speeches.
- • Research and provide assistance in the development and preparation of ministerial correspondence for the Ministerial Services Manager.
- • Maintain awareness of relevant trends and issues in ministerial and parliamentary matters pertaining to the Department's responsibilities.
- • Liaise with other ministerial coordination staff and the Ministerial Services Manager on progress and scope of current activities.
- • Liaise directly with the Ministers’ offices and other public sector organisations and client groups.
- • Maintain Departmental content on the Department’s electronic workflow system to capture and register incoming requests, providing reports on progress of requests.
- • Assist the Ministerial Services Manager to manage the provision of an effective, efficient and timely support service to the Minister’s office.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative and support services within a fast-paced Ministerial Services, government or executive support environment.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to quality assure Ministerial, Parliamentary and Cabinet documentation to ensure accuracy, grammatical correctness and a professional standard.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free work within strict deadlines.
- Proven organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and compile information from stakeholders to meet critical Ministerial timeframes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and confidence in learning new systems and technologies.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of internal and external contacts.
Required:
