The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Laboratory Assistant
to join a busy team at a leading Advanced Clinical Trial Centre
in Nedlands. This short-term casual opportunity will support the lab during a staff member’s leave period, assisting with a wide range of clinical and sample handling duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality checks on clinical samples (blood, swab, saliva, urine)
- Basic sample processing
- Prepare and organise outgoing sample shipments
- Manage lab stock, chemicals, and equipment (e.g. fridge checks)
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of lab environment
- Accurate online data entry and record keeping
What You’ll Need
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Good computer skills (much of the work is digital)
- Team-oriented and adaptable
- Previous lab experience preferred (clinical or basic laboratory)
Additional Requirements
- Serology Screening – Candidates must complete a blood test and provide vaccination records
- National Police Clearance
