ICT Procurement and Contracts Officer (Level 4) role with a State Government department

  • Hourly Rate:$61.20 per hour plus superannuation.
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Length: 6 months
  • Location: Perth CBD

All of our assignments are temporary contracts through Integrity Executive and the hourly rates quoted include a 25% casual loading in lieu of leave entitlements.

The successful candidate will assist with:

  • Procurement activities for IT projects
  • Contract management for IT projects
  • Procurement and contract management for general ICT resources/services

You will be required to have :

  • Strong knowledge of government procurement policies
  • Working knowledge of IT concepts and terms
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles

If successful you will need to provide a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months).

Key responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders for the acquisition of services as required.
  • Assist in the planning and formation of low to medium risk contracts to ensure compliance with relevant State Government and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all procurement documentation complies with State Government and Departmental policies.
  • Prepares and collates information for statistical- and management-reports, as directed by the Manager Project Procurement.
  • Consult with staff, providing support and advice as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager Contracts as required.
  • Assist in the development of tools and working-document templates to ensure compliance with policies and procedures including internal controls.
  • Assist in coordinating and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain filing system, manuals and office records in line with Departmental policies.
 
Role Specific requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management.
  • Well-developed written communication and interpersonal skills, including the preparation of procurement and technical documents.
  • Ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Good level of conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and highlight key issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team environment to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise workloads to agreed timeframes.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with general financial processes including accounts payable is highly preferable.
  • Experience with WA Government Procurement and CUAs is desirable.
 
Contract Management requirements

  • Compliance with code of conduct.
  • Meeting with contract agency Account Manager as required.
 
Key Performance Indicators

  • All documentation is delivered in accordance with internal document standards of or as directed by the Manager Project Procurement.
  • All documentation; reports; critical information to be delivered with adequate time for review, feedback and final distribution as directed by the Manager Project Procurement.
  • Meet timelines as defined and agreed with the Manager Project Procurement and have the work delivered by the specified date, ensuring that the quality meets the level required
