Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and Portable and Attractive Asset Register (PAAR), including manage and update changes like location address combinations, asset categories and etc.
• Processing asset additions, transfers and disposals.
• Liaise with stakeholders from the responsible business areas to obtain asset data such as asset registration, movement, disposal, trade-in and write-off of assets.
• Review the relevant assets general ledger accounts to ensure correctness of asset reporting and recording, including monthly reconciliation of FAR, PAAR and Work in Progress (WIP).
• Prepare month end journals for WIP, FAR and PAAR.
• Coordination of stocktake process, including investigate discrepancies and reconcile stocktake results.
• Prepare reports for internal customers and make recommendations as required.
• Assist with the compilation of information for monthly and yearly reporting, internal and external audit, and any other reports as required.
• Assist in reviewing and updating the asset accounting policies, procedures and manuals on a timely manner, and ensuring compliance by responsible stakeholders.
• Provide training to the responsible stakeholders in the preparation of required forms for asset acquisition, asset disposal and stocktake.
• Undertake other duties as required within the scope and capabilities of the position.

Essential Requirements
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Good interpersonal skills including providing a high level of customer service.
• Sound numerical skills and analytical ability.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial transactional processing and application of financial policy.
• Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context as outlined below. Desirable Requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Technology One system.
• Tertiary qualification in business, bookkeeping, accounting or related discipline.
