, we are seeking an experienced Billing Clerk
to join the team based in Nedlands
. This role offers an immediate start, full-time hours, and the opportunity to work within a respected public sector organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely billing for specialists exercising private practice within a public teaching hospital, including processing invoices and internal payment forms.
- Interpret, analyse, and report on income from Medicare, HPG, and health funds, making recommendations to the Revenue Officer, Revenue Coordinator, or Director of Revenue.
- Assist in implementing new billing and financial systems, procedures, and work methods as required.
- Reconcile outstanding balances and prepare documentation for adjustments, including refunds, financial election changes, cancelled charges, and proposed bad debt write-offs.
- Respond to enquiries from patients, health funds, insurance companies, hospital staff, and the public regarding billing.
- Monitor and report on billing raised for all departmental accounts.
- Perform other related duties as required.
