available for an Accounts & Payroll Coordinator
(0.4 FTE)
based
in Mirrabooka.
This is a newly established and evolving role.
- Base salary $95,745 (pro rata)
- Direct contract minimum 6 months
- Working from home is an option
- 2 days per week but can increase to 3 days.
We are in need of recruitment support to source an experienced Accounts & Payroll Coordinator.
I’ve attached the current role description for context; however, please note that this document will need updating to reflect our recent organisational name change. Additionally, any references to Business Manager should now read Finance Manager.
We require an experience accounts and payroll officer for a part-time temporary cover (6 - 12 months) with the possibility of this becoming an ongoing requirement depending on organisational needs.
The role is based in
Mirrabooka
and will report directly to our Finance Manager. Due to our payroll cycle, the candidate must be available on
Mondays and Tuesday.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Coordination of end-to-end payroll processes including payment of super and salary sacrifice (approx. 45 staff, increasing to 60)
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and agreements
- Perform all necessary accounting duties including invoicing customers, processing supplier invoices, payment of accounts, bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparation of BAS / IAS and related compliance
- Assist the Finance Manager with month end accounts and reconciliations, development and maintenance of policies and procedures, year-end audit, budgets and reporting
- Assist the Finance Manager with specific projects such as new financial systems and mergers
The suitable candidate must have the following:
- Cert IV Bookkeeping or equivalent experience in the field
- BAS agent or equivalent knowledge
- Experienced user of MYOB AccountRight (including for payroll)
- Experienced user of Xero (Xero payroll experience not required)
- Intermediate Microsoft Skills - Excel, Outlook, Word
Desirables:
- Experience using Employment Hero HR and Employment Hero Payroll would be highly regarded
- Not-for-profit experience – not essential, but highly regarded
