Our State Government client is looking to hire a Senior Procurement Officer (Level 6.1) on a temporary assignment

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: 12 months
  • Location: Mount Claremont

There is an option for :

  • Direct fixed term contract – Level 6.1 $120,457(per annum) plus super; $61.58 per hour plus super
  • Temporary engagement through Integrity Executive – Level 6.1 $76.97 per hour plus super (inclusive of 25% casual loading)


If successful you will need to provide a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months), undertake 2 reference checks and comply with any departmental onboarding requirements

In this role as a Senior Procurement Officer you will be tasked with administering, facilitating and delivering effective and compliant government practices in the procurement of goods and services.

This role provides specialist guidance and end-to-end procurement support, from strategic planning and document development to contract management and performance reporting.
It ensures organisational excellence by implementing compliant policies, facilitating competitive evaluations and maintaining rigorous governance in line with public sector standards.


To be considered you will be required to have :

  • Proven experience managing the full procurement and contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance, value for money, and high-quality tender documentation.
  • Ability to analyse trends and data to inform work plans and make sound decisions within organisational guidelines.
  • Strong resource management and project completion skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities without sacrificing quality.
  • Skilled at building diverse professional relationships, sharing information and delivering customer-focused service.
  • High level of self-awareness and accountability; adheres to organizational codes of conduct and takes initiative for personal growth.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present messages confidently and negotiate persuasive outcomes.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with WA Procurement Rules and public sector compliance.
  • Familiarity with the sports, entertainment, or venue management sectors.
  • Experience navigating system and process transitions.
