  • Fulltime hours, onsite
  • Required: Current National Police Clearance within last 6 months
  • Starting 4th May for 2 months, possible extension
  • Previous HR experience essential, in WA State Government highly desired
The HR officer will be reviewing recruitment, selection and appointment, position changes, higher duties and creating automated contracts (within the onboarding system).

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Provides a customer-focused advisory and information service to department staff, and coordinates, monitors, and ensures the advertising, selection and filling of vacant positions, staff secondments, staff transfers, and temporary deployment (acting) opportunities occur efficiently across the business areas.

STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Strategic Human Resources:
• Participates constructively and positively within workplace teams to achieve tasks successfully.

• Provides support and relief to the HR Project Officer, when required.
Recruitment:
• Plan and manage the delivery of employment services to the department.
• Provide advice on policies dictated by other Government bodies modes of employment and advertising mechanisms.
• Provide preventative advice and assistance with compliance issues. • Process recruitment requests.
• Conducts redeployment clearance (Recruitment Advertising & Management System - RAMS).
• Assist with advertisement formatting and drafting.
• Arrange the placement of advertisements online via RAMS and through advertising agents.
• Monitor receipt, registration, and management of applications via the Candidate Management System (CMS).
• Provide advice on employment pre-offer issues, breach periods, and the breach claim process.
• Produce employment documentation including letters, contracts, appointments, secondments, etc.
• Performs pre- and post-employment administration.
• Enter recruitment statistical data and produce regular and ad hoc recruitment reports

HR Business Support:
• Provides administrative and business support within the HR area, as required.
• Other duties as required with respect to the scope of the position.
