Role Overview:
- Manages medium-value and medium-risk procurement contracts and supports higher-value or more complex procurement activities.
- Ensures procurement and contract management processes comply with government legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Supports delivery of value-for-money outcomes through effective procurement planning and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops business cases, procurement plans, and tender documentation.
- Conducts tender evaluations, contract formation, and contract management.
- Supports contract negotiations and contractor due diligence.
- Assesses and manages procurement risks.
- Provides advice to internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers on procurement and contract management.
- Conducts market research to inform procurement decisions and improve outcomes.
- Maintains accurate procurement records using procurement and records management systems.
- Contributes to procurement policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promotes awareness and understanding of procurement processes across the organisation.
- Supports initiatives to engage and procure from Aboriginal businesses.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement or contract management.
- Experience working within government procurement (preferably in WA).
Desirable
- Knowledge of government procurement frameworks and policies.
- A procurement qualification or working towards one.
- Experience using procurement or contract management systems.
